Wooten Wawen Platform

GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line

Wooten Wawen was another another original 1908 station albeit of a more modest level of accommodation compared to some of the other stations on the line. The station was deemed by the GWR not important enough to warrant goods facilities probably because Henley in Arden, Bearley and Stratford Upon Avon were not too far away.

Access to the station was via separate footpaths to each platform leading down from the road that passed over the line. The absence of a passengers footbridge or barrow crossing meant a long walk round from one platform to another should it be required indicating the simple service that the GWR expected to provide.
