GWR Route: Alcester to Hatton Junction

Looking towards Birmingham in this other late-1950s/early-1960s view. Wherever possible the GWR built its basic passenger facilities from timber, in particular the platform, as illustrated by Pebworth Halt. It is presumed that as Wooten Wawen was primarily in a cutting and therefore prone to ground water the decision had to be made to construct it in brick.
