The primitive gentlemen’s toilet can be seen nearest the camera whilst the passenger and office facilities are housed in the building behind. The road bridges were built to accommodate double tracks wherever it was thought that doubling might be necessary. The purchase of sufficient land for double track was often another precautionary measure taken when single line routes were first built as the cost of purchasing or building new bridges could be very expensive.
