View of a new footbridge being installed in 1926 at the Northfield end of Kings Norton station. The footbridge being erected by the travelling crane is that seen in image 'mrkn526'. LMS 4F 0-6-0 No 4040, with Deeley tender, is seen at the head of the short train and would be used to propel the crane into a position to lower its load into place.

Number 4040 was built by the LMS at Derby works in January 1925 and lasted in service for forty years being withdrawn from Kirkby-in-Ashfield shed in November 1964 to be scrapped by Arnott & Young Co of Parkgate and Rawmarsh in March 1965.
