LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Looking along the platform towards Redditch with the station no longer looking pristine. Whilst the station is still in use the stacking of the railway sleepers typifies the lack of pride being shown by the nationalised company. With space available on the other side of the track there was no excuse for littering the platform with the sleepers, in fact image 'mrhv571a' shows how the Midland Railway conducted itself in similar circumstances. The lamppost whilst undergoing a change in design is still clearly gas lit as can be seen by the shape of the glass within the lamp.
