This close up of image 'mrbg614' shows the junction between the up Redditch branch platform and the Gloucester down platform. The lamps appear to be gas lit and in addition to the platform mounted lampposts there are two lamps attached by brackets on either side of the station building. The brackets fixed to the front face of both platforms are carrying the wires that operated the signals from the signal box located on the Bristol to Birmingham up platform to the signals at the end of both platforms. They pass under the mainline just the other side of the barrow crossing as is evident by the two covers in the four foot of both sets of rails.
