LMS 4P Compound No 1129 stands on the turntable being turned by both crew members ready for service

LMS 4P Compound No 1129 stands on the turntable being turned by both crew members ready for service on 11th July 1931. Hawkins & Reeves state in their book that Rugby was provided with two 40' turntables although the 1925 layout only shows a single turntable on indiscernible size. Number 1129 was built at Horwich works to order 1398 in December 1925 and remained in service until withdrawn in May 1955 from Stranraer shed to be scrapped in July 1955 at Kilmarnock works.
