This drawing of the 1935 shows the layout of the depot's approach road, coal stacks and turntable lying adjacent to the GC bridge. The structure on the left is the Coaling Plant and shows the access road for the locomotives to be either side of the main structure whilst the access road for incoming loco coal wagons is to the north depicted as being under the smaller extension of the Coaling Plant.
