This view of the level crossing was taken from out side
Coventry Rugby Football Club's ground (on the right) now a housing estate. The
level crossing had a small under bridge immediately adjacent, similar to the
one at Berkswell Station, which as can be seen was used by cars to avoid
waiting for the crossing to reopen.
The timber framed and clad signal box was built on the side
of the railway embankment and therefore was supported by timber columns and
beams clad in matching timber. The signal which can just be seen to the left of
the Coventry Corporation bus (in maroon and cream livery) controlled the
departures for Coventry bound trains.
