This photograph shows the MR goods shed on the left with the original Station Master's house on the left fronting Warwick Road. The MR goods shed remained until the 1960s when it was demolished. Subsequent to the photograph being taken, the MR's goods shed was extended towards the road and the LNWR built its two storey structure which ran parallel to Warwick Road and housed stables beneath. See image lnwrcov558 for more information. The two storey building alongside the Station Master's house was the Railway Hotel aka the Rocket Pub. The cattle are grazing on in the area which became sidings alongside the footbridge to Spencer Park. See image lnwrcov554c for more information.
