Close up of image misc_newd274' showing the siding which had originally been provided with a movable cover to provide labourers some protection from inclement weather. The shelter is clearly ravaged by time and neglect and as Mike Kinder and Ray Fox state in their article in Railway Bylines, the shelter looks now more like a hinderance than anything else as rain would drip down on to the men loading the barges.
