Mishaps!!: lnwrar3a

Warwickshire Railway industrial lines and accidents

Close up of image lnwrar3. The crane appears to have had cut down sleepers packed underneath the buffer beam to provide stability during the lift. The process of rerailing appears to be a two stage process. The first being to re rail the coach on the temporary track laid up the embankment, the second being to transfer the coach to the siding.

The second truck beyond the crane is much clearer in this view. Rather than being a snow plough as might be intially thought, its shape is probably to accommodate the crane's jib when running on the mainline (being marshallled with the sloping end of the Van next to the crane).
