Close up of image lnwr191 showing in greater detail the lifting of Stanier 2-8-0 No 48262 . As can be seen the cab roof has been part dismantled allowing the slings of the left hand crane to be fixed to the chassis in the cab. The other crane's slings are fixed to the lifting eyes located to the frame forward of the smokebox. This local was balanced for fast running as is evident by the star below the cabside number. 16 December 1962.
