Another view SMJ 0-6-0 No 15 in front of Stratford on Avon shed on 11th April 1924 . One of three locomotives of the same design delivered by Beyer Peacock between 1903-6 for the E&WJR this design shared the boiler, cylinders and motion as SMJ 2-4-0T No 13. Unlike the 2-4-0T locomotives the 0-6-0s had only the vacuum brake. The purchase of the three 0-6-0s enabled the E&WJR to dispense with the services of the ex-LNWR 'DX' locomotives and to speed up the through goods traffic.
