LMS Route: Stratford Midland Junction - The Shakespeare Route

Edge Hill Light Railway 0-6-0T Nos 1 and 2, former A1 'Terrier' London, Brighton and South Coast Railway locomotives, are seen at Stratford on Avon shed two years after being purchased in 1919-20. EHLR No 1 was originally built at Brighton in October 1872 as No 673 and named 'Deptford' before being rebuilt in 1912. EHLR No 2 was built in the same month and year as No 1 and numbered 674 and named 'Shadwell' but was never rebuilt.
