LMS Route: Stratford Midland Junction - The Shakespeare Route

SMJ Beyer Peacock 0-6-0 No 11 is seen standing on the back road behind Stratford on Avon shed. One of the longest lived locomotives of the SMJ it was built in 1896 and lasted until 1930 before it was withdrawn for scrapping. Number 11 classified as a 1F by LMS first received the LMS running number 2305 before it was renumbered 2398 in 1927 to make room for the new Fowler 2-6-4T locomotives. C1919
