This close up of image 'smjsa63' shows the two signal boxes
side by side. The SMJ signal box on the left was built in 1910 at the same time
as other improvements were carried including alterations and additions to the
layout. A larger box was required to accommodate the extra levers required and
its new position provided a better view of the turnouts under its control.
