View of Stratford loco shed with SMJ 0-6-0 No 15 ex-E&WJR 'Manning Wardle' 0-6-0ST No 1 standing in front of the original shed. The configuration of the turntable, sited in front of No 1 road, together with the different styles of structure covering No 3 and 4 roads would seem to indicate that the original shed initially comprised of two roads before being extended. The sharp curves from the turntable into No 3 and 4 roads is easily seen and the reason for moving the turntable several hundred feet in front of the shed is apparent.
