This close up of image 'smjk87' shows some activity on the down line and in the immediate area of the goods yard. Immediately behind the two GCR carriages are three SMJ carriages whilst further down the line appears to be tank engine. It is possible that the train to Woodford & Hinton was being strengthened either by these carriages or by extra horse boxes. If it was the latter then the two GCR carriages would require uncoupling as horse boxes were always marshalled behind the locomotive.
