Kineton Station: smjk29
Looking across from the cattle dock siding to the signal
box. The village of nearby Little Kineton was the headquarters of the
Warwickshire Hunt whose territory went as far as Broom. Consequently the SMJ
offered their services to transport the Hunt which led in 1909 to their
purchasing a hound van from the Great Eastern. This together with a number of
horse boxes were kept at Kineton and when used the inspector from Stratford
upon Avon would attend to supervise the process.
