Close up of image 'smjk26' showing Kineton station's main passenger building which housed the booking office and waiting rooms on the up platform. Just visible between the wings of the building that projected forward is the simple flat canopy that provide a little protection to passengers during inclement weather. The timber framed and boarded waiting room was a later addition and is smaller than the waiting room opposite, in fact it is of a similar size to the original up waiting room. The purpose of the timber framed 'lean to' is unknown and whether the sign above indicates its purpose is also a mystery. Next to this structure are the obligatory fire buckets filled with sand.
