This close up of image 'smjk25' shows the cut back down
platform and the now derelict main station structure. The corrugated steel hut
was used as a store for staff working in the goods yard. The platform for the
signalman has recently been painted, probably by the signalman himself. The
long intervals between trains enabled signalman along the line to pursue
various activities ranging from building structures for model railways to
tendering allotments.
