Close up of image 'smjfc22' showing the main station building appears to have its poster boards announcing the closure of the line to passenger services. The lack of passenger traffic on this very rural line was always a problem even leading to traffic being suspended for a number of years shortly after opening. The continued presence of the porters trolley in the same position in repetitive photographs would reinforce the lack of business for the railway.
