LMS Route: Stratford Midland Junction - The Shakespeare
Route
Bidford on Avon: smjboa2b
Close up of image smjboa2 showing the grounded body on the
station's platform. Arthur Jordan does not record its use but it was probably
used as a store despite Arthur recording the corrugated hut for the same
purpose. The only sign of luxury was the Nestle's chocolate machine which if
the same as the one Mike saw as a child in Wales in the 1950s a bar of
chocolate cost one penny, less than than a half-penny in decimal currency. The
posters advertised the Isle of Man and the Midland Hotel at Morecambe.
