Looking towards Fenny Compton the Warwick to Banbury road bridge is evident in this 1951 photograph with the station structure in abandoned condition and open to the elements. The platform was only the length of one carriage and was constructed with railway sleepers to the front and hard core fill behind. The original Warwick Road station which lasted only a few months after opening in 1871 was sited the other side of the road bridge.
