MR 1P Kirtley outside framed 2-4-0 No 19 (ex Saltley)
thought to be a MR Class 156 engine on a local passenger train to Birmingham.
The single line in background going to the right of the camera is the branch to
Hampton which closed to passengers in 1917. C1923-5
Number 18 was built in August 1868 and rebuilt in June 1898,
both times at Derby Works, before being withdrawn and scrapped in December 1933
at Derby.
