Looking towards Broom with the siding and access to the yard in the foreground. The facilities in the goods yard matched those of the passenger station both being very rudimentary. The point rodding running along the single track and then across to the point on the siding was controlled by the north ground frame sited under the road bridge. Ground frames required the single line tablet to be employed before they could be operated, a safety measure designed to ensure that the guard and driver were aware of all operations.
