Looking towards Alcester across Bridge 48 north of Wixford station after the flooding at the turn of the century. Whilst the two bridges appears to be solid the embankment between clearly has been damaged and has sunk several feet in some places. The damage along the route was so extensive that the line was closed for a number of months. This route wasn't the only line in the county to suffer from flooding, photographs of similar instances exist of Claverdon and Fenny Compton too. Jan 1901
