LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

The route from Broom to Evesham suffered considerably from flood damage at the turn of the century and whilst most immediate dangers were addressed, through bridge building and repairs to embankments, other work was left to later. This view looking towards Alcester is of Bridge No 5 replacing Bridges 51, 52 and 53 and was taken for the Midland Railway's Engineering Department in 1915.
