Looking towards Aston with the LNWR Aston to Stechford line being carried on the short viaduct on the right and Aston Church Rd bridge (leading to Warren Rd, Washwood Heath Rd and Highfield Rd) on the left. The line nearest to the camera is thought to be progressing to the Carriage & Wagon Co works and possibly the coal sidings which lay adjacent to these works. The steel girder section of the LNWR viaduct is carrying the line over the Derby - New Street lines whilst the furthest archway is carrying the line over Washwood Heath's up goods line leading to the reception sidings. 12th May 1961
