The LNWR Type 4 Washwood Heath signal box viewed from the
single branch line which ran down to the MR and joined at Saltley Junction. The
left-hand road crossed to the up main on the Aston-Stechford line whilst the
right-hand road joined the head shunt a siding that ran parallel to the down
main. 5th May 1961
