Ex-MR 0-6-0 2F No 3052 is seen throwing out a lot of dirty
smoke whilst steam is drifting from the safety valves as it works the yard.
Although its 15 months since the demise of the LMS this scene is still
"grouping" in atmosphere even down to the dirty LMS livery on the
locomotive.
Number 3052 was a member of the MR's '1357' class and was
built by R Stephenson & Co in January 1880. It was allocated the running
number 58202 by British Railways but was withdrawn from Saltley shed in April
1950 before it wore the number. 23rd April 1949
