LMS 2-6-0+0-6-2 Beyer Peacock No 4976 is seen on a long coal train passing by Washwood Heath Sidings No 1 signal box. Later to be renumbered No 7976 by the LMS number 4976 was built by Beyer Peacock in September 1930 and despite being considered a very poor design lasted in service until withdrawn from Toton shed in April 1956 to be scrapped by Crewe works in May 1956.
