of the station's closure. Whilst the lamp posts were changed from gas to
electric power the lamp post itself was original. Each lamp post appears to be
further apart from its neighbour indicating the possibility of that
intermediate lamp posts were removed when electric lighting was installed.
The ubiquitous BR totem sign displaying the station's name
is also evident. At the end of the down platform, situated on the left of the
island platform, was a water crane complete with a "fire-devil" to prevent
freezing in winter and also lit by a lamp post.
