Ex-MR 3P No 700 is seen coming off shed ready to go on duty. At first glance because of the Fowler tender No 700 appears to be an LMS standard class 2P but in fact was built by SW Johnson although it is believed his successor R Deeley had a major influence in its design. A member of the MR's 2606 class she was built at Derby works in September 1900 and is seen here on 4th April 1936
