Despite it being over two years since nationalisation ex-LMS 'Black 5' 4-6-0 No 4813 stands in the confines of the shed's yard, near the coaling station, still wearing LMS livery. Number 4813 was built at Derby in October 1944 and saw most of her 22 years service in the Midlands being withdrawn from Stoke shed in September 1966 and scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge in the following December.
