LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Tamworth

Saltley Shed: mrsalt54

Ex-MR 3F 0-6-0 No 3435 stands along side Saltley's No 3 shed with the letters LMS nearly obscured on 28th September 1947 just a few months before the railways were nationalised. Built by Dubbs & Company circa 1892 to the MR's class 1873 design No 3435 remained in service until April 1962 when it was withdrawn from Saltley shed to be scrapped in May 1962 by Derby works.
