Ex-MR 2P 4-4-0 No 486, a member of the MR's 483 class, is seen leaving Saltley's yard with its lamps set for a Class D freight express trip on 2nd September 1932. Built by Derby in April 1901 No 483 had a long career ahead it was February 1957 before it was withdrawn from Barrow Road in Bristol to be scrapped by Derby works in the same month.
