Ex-MR 4P 4-4-0 Compound No 1014 stands adjacent to one of Saltley's water tanks with the fireman's rake and shovel leaning against the footplate. Number 1014 was one of Deeley's pioneer Compounds from which Fowler's versions for the MR and LMS were derived. Built in December 1905 she ran in service until withdrawn in June 1952 from Derby shed. 24 Aug 1935
