LMS 4MT Fairburn 2-6-4T No 2685 raises steam in front of the large water tanks near to the shed. Number 2685 was built its expected working life due to British Railway's modernisation programme implemented in the mid 1950s. She saw just seventeen years service being withdrawn in October 1962 from Rowsley shed and scrapped in January 1963 at Derby works. C1950
