Close up of image 'mrsalt106' showing the wagon being raised on the hoist with chains in place to secure the wagon when rotated at the top for discharging its load. The coal would then be directed into one of the two bunkers via directional 'flap' doors which were operated by a hand winch. To minimise dust the tower had a sprinkler system to spray the coal when it was being discharged.
