In this second close up of image 'mrp334' further details
can be seen of the station building. Of note is the lack of advertising posters
both for the MR as well as for general merchandise. In addition there is only
one sign, "Gentlemen" on the left. The station front is of a "breakfront"
design with the centre portion set back some six feet from the front of the two
"wings".
This centre portion appears to have a door in its centre
with a window on either side. The two "wings" are thought to each house a
waiting room either segregating the sexes or classes. The large lamps suspended
on brackets are gas lit and are positioned to provide lighting to this area of
the station.
