This close up of image 'mrls425' provides a view of the sidings that lay adjacent to the running lines that either joined the LNWR at 'Grand Junction' or continued on to Gloucester via Camp Hill. Whilst the main lines seen in the photograph would be a credit on the main line the track on the right is decidedly poor with straight sections and sharp angles clearly seen. The slow exposure required for photographs of this period always provided a dramatic view of the steam or smoke emitting from the locomotive.
