This close up of image 'mrkn277' shows there appears to be a timber barrier across the platform with milk churns in front. As there is room to pass by adjacent to the building and as passengers need access to the footbridge it cannot be certain that this is a barrier. A notice on the timber framing which probably explains its purpose cannot be read.
