LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

A pair of ex-MR 4-4-0s both MR class 483s No 542 and 402 work an excursion south of Kings Norton. C1937 No 542 was built at Derby works in October 1899 and lasted in service until withdrawn from Nottingham shed in August 1959 to be scrapped by T W Ward of Killamarsh in January 1960. Number 402 was also built at Derby works but much earlier, in August 1891, and lasted a few months longer being withdrawn from Leicester shed in September 1960 to be scrapped at Gorton works in October 1960.
