Ex-MR 4-4-0 2P No 511 heads an eight coach holiday excursion passenger express during the summer of 1936. Although it had only a 2P power rating No 511, sporting shed plate number 21A, has little problem hauling an eight coach excursion express. A member of the MR's 483 class a No 511 was built by Sharp Stewart in November 1899 and remained in service until January 1961 before being withdrawn in October 1961 to be scrapped by Looms of Spondon.
