Ex-MR 2P 4-4-0 No 439 doubleheads LMS Stanier "Black 5" No
5276 on an express south of Kings Norton. C1937 Number 439 was built as a MR
class design by Sharp Stewart in March 1893 and was withdrawn from service at
Toton shed in January 1961 before being scrapped by Looms of Spondon in October
1961. Number 5276 was built by Armstrong Whitworth in November 1936 and lasted
until January 1967 before being withdrawn from Stoke-on-Trent shed in January
1967 followed by scrapping by G Cohen of Kettering in November 1967.
