LMS 0-6-0 4F No 4133 is seen having been pressed into service on a local passenger working in the summer of 1936. Goods locomotives were frequently pressed in to service during periods of heavy traffic such as holiday period. The absence of steam heating would preclude their use during the cold winter period. Built at Crewe works in September 1925 No 4133 remained in service until November 1963 when it was withdrawn from Toton shed to be scrapped in February 1964 at Crewe works.
