Ex-MR 0-6-4T 'Flatiron' No 2027 standing at the up platform prior to the quadrupling of the station which occurred in the mid 1920s. A member of the MR's 3P 2000 class No 2027 was built by Derby works in June 1907 and remained in service until March 1936 when it was withdrawn from 21A Saltley shed to be scrapped by Derby works in the same year.
