LMS 4-6-0 5MT No 5013 is seen at the head of a short express service near Kings Norton in 1937. A member of Stanier's ubiquitous 'Black 5' class of locomotives, No 5013 was built by Crewe works in April 1935 and remained in service until May 1968 when three months prior to the end of steam on British mainline metals it was withdrawn from 9B Stockport shed to be scrapped in September 1968 by TW Ward Ltd of Beighton near Sheffield
